ADULT, JUNIOR AIKIDO AND IAIDO
GRADING AND PROMOTION CRITERIA
Recognition and Commitment: Attending seminars shows dedication to your practice, which is often recognised and appreciated by your instructors and peers. Overall, regular training and attending seminars is a crucial part of learning Aikido. It helps you grow as a practitioner by expanding your technical skills, deepening your understanding of Aikido’s principles.
Testing and Evaluating Progress
- Benchmarking Skills: Practicing with different partners can help you gauge your progress. You’ll face different types of energy, timing, and body movements, which is crucial for developing adaptability and understanding the effectiveness of your techniques.
- Feedback from Experts: Instructors at seminars often provide individual feedback, which can be invaluable in identifying areas for improvement and guiding your development.
Seminar dates are posted early January each year and are a very important part of the Aikido year. There are four per year: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Check the website or Facebook page for dates.
