GRADING OFFICER ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is an appointed voluntary position and is an administrative role across both Adult and Junior sections of the club.
The role includes:
1. Gathering in grading application forms in advance of the grading date.
2. Checking grading application forms to ensure eligibility to grade.
3. Checking that payment has been made.
4. Where applicable, checking that the grading assessment cards are complete requirements have been met and signed.
5. Preparing grading assessment paperwork and ensuring this is available on grading day.
6. Ensuing that there are the correct number of belts in stock to meet the anticipated need.
7. Processing results after gradings which will include:
organising the printing of Certificates
adding grading dates to membermojo
updating (and issuing) grading cards
holding and maintaining the grading register
JUNIOR EVENTS OFFICER ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is an appointed and voluntary position and is an administrative and coaching role within the Junior Section of the club. The role will include some or all of the following:.
The role includes:
1. Planning internal demonstration events which are open to all junior club members (e.g. end of year demonstration for parents).
2. Recruiting (by selection) students for the official Tenchi Ryu Demonstration Team.
3. Identifying suitable external events at which the Demonstration Team can participate/perform in.
4. Planning and implementing Demonstration Team events.
5. Planning and implementing other events such as Summer School, open promotional events.
6. Liaising with the Health & Safety team to ensure any risk assessments are in place.
7. Liaising with the Club Secretary to ensure that planned events are within insurance guidelines.
8. Ensuring that all students involved in club events are in current membership.
9. To ensure full compliance with Safeguarding policies and procedures e.g. obtaining parental consent where necessary.
10. Creating systems and procedures to support the role.
The Junior Events Officer may be assisted by others from within the club as deemed necessary.
All events and associated planning must be approved, in advance, by the Chief Instructor.
